As we start to bring in the holiday season, we wanted to give you a classic, unique coffee from Sumatra (Sumatera), an island in Indonesia. As you gather together, remember the importance of `ohana and cozy up to this beautiful coffee with your friends and family.
Sumatra processes their coffee in a slightly different way to work in harmony with their extra humid and wet environment. The difference is that their hulling (removing the parchment) takes place much earlier in the process, resulting in the coffee being dried at a faster rate. This is called “Giling Basah” or in English, “Wet-Hulled.”
This processing produces the signature flavor notes that Sumatra coffee lovers are lured by. The taste is a classic, pleasing cup to be shared with loved ones. Savor the Earthy, Smokey and Subtle Spicy notes as you relish in the start of the holiday season!
