Pulling a shot of espresso and watching the river of colors stream down into the demitasse is one of our favorite coffee visuals. The beautiful spectrum of brown, caramel and cream collect to form the perfect shot. When pulled correctly at the perfect extraction near that 27 second mark, the taste is as beautiful as the pull.
Espresso is a brew style, and the roast does not have to be dark. This is what we use in our café, prefering our Espresso closer to a Medium to minimize the oil on the bean (your machine will thank you!). This roast level will enhance the fruit flavor and acidity to provide balance. It has the necessary strength for milk pairing when used in latte based drinks yet it’s smooth enough to be enjoyed as a stand alone sipper.
You don’t need an Espresso machine for this coffee, enjoy this perfect blend whatever your brew style.
