Our House-Made Pumpkin Spice Latte Is Here
Pumpkin spice is officially on the menu at Tradition. Our house-made syrup uses real pumpkin, brown sugar and warm spices, paired with our award-winning espresso. Hot or iced, because Hawaiʻi.
Our House-Made Pumpkin Spice Latte Is Here
We held out as long as we could.
But fall arrived (at least according to the calendar, since Hawaiʻi is still doing its 80-degree thing), and pumpkin spice officially made its way onto the menu at Tradition.
If we were going to do a Pumpkin Spice Latte, though, we wanted to do it our way. That meant starting in the kitchen.
What’s in Our Pumpkin Spice Syrup
Our house-made pumpkin spice syrup uses real pumpkin purée, brown sugar, vanilla and all the spices that somehow convince your brain it should be wearing a sweater: cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves and cardamom.
Our inspiration was the homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup recipe by Feast + West. We loved the idea of using real pumpkin and spices instead of a commercially flavored syrup.
Still Very Much About the Coffee
We pair the syrup with our espresso and your choice of milk. Basically, it’s perfect.
The result is our version of the PSL: warm, cozy, a little spicy, a little sweet. If we’re going to pumpkin spice something, we’re going to make sure you can still taste the award-winning espresso.
Try It at the Roastery in Kailua
Come try one at the roastery while it’s here. Hot or iced, because, again, Hawaiʻi.
Make It at Home
If you’re the DIY type, give the original Feast + West recipe a try at home. We always support a little coffee experimentation.
