These beautifully handcrafted, coffee bean coasters were made by a local artisan here where we roast our coffee in Kailua, Hawai`i. For a limited time, we will carry these rare crafted works of art made out of curly Koa and Mango wood. Koa Wood is legendary, meaning "warrior" in Hawaiian, and is a tree native to the island. Once on the verge of extinction, its use and harvest are carefully monitored, regulating that only naturally fallen trees can be harvested. The coasters themselves are carved from mango wood and the holder is the beloved curly Koa. The beans that you are see are none other than Tradition Coffee beans sealed in time with resin.
