Limited Batch: Sandy
Some coffee, like this one, hits home more than others. Enter Sandy. Sandy was a hurricane in 2012 that devastated a wide path reaching from Cuba to Breezy Point NY. My parents were one of the unlucky ones who lost their/our home during that storm. It was a sad time that rebounded through love, hope, perseverance and a community that came together in selflessness. My father spent the next several years volunteering with Habitat for Humanity to rebuild many of the homes around him, all while his lay in ruins. Iʻm proud of him, the community of Breezy Point and organizations like Habitat for Humanity who come together and rebuild.
This delicious coffee is from a co-op Guatemala. The co-op donates a portion of their proceeds per lb. to their local Habitat for Humanity project. We want to continue paying it forward by also donating some of the proceeds from this coffee to Habitat for Humanity here in Hawaii. Feel good with each purchase knowing you are also helping support a worthwhile cause. We roasted it medium for balance with the hopes that it will fuel your next project. Life may be full of challenges but its also filled with great people willing to help lift you up. Letʻs all remember to embrace the good stuff and pay it forward.
